Audit Staff Accountant

Canton, MA - An audit staff/Sr. staff/Supervisor assists with supervising entry level audit staff accountants assigned to engagements, helps implement accounting systems for new clients and ensures higher-level personnel are kept informed about the status of engagements. An audit staff member participates in the firm’s marketing activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  Has an understanding of the firm's quality control standards  Keeps abreast of general accounting principles  Begins to develop knowledge of accounting principles related to clients and their industry  Has an understanding of the client and its environment and their effect on audit risk assessment  Understands audit risks and financial statement assertions and their effect on the audit approach  Assumes responsibility for performing audit fieldwork including adherence to due dates and time budgets  Prepares financial statements, notes, schedules, and management letters  Directs and performs research and ... - Permanent - Full-time
