Accounting Supervisor - Planning & Reporting

Details: Our client, a manufacturing companyin the Ann Arbor area, seeks an Accounting Supervisor over Business Planning& Reporting to add to a successful and growing team. This position will be responsible for the administrationof all corporate financial planning and reporting. Leads, directs and supports subordinates;assists in the financial control department; ensure internal and externalcustomers are serviced with a high level of quality. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and maintain reporting and budgetary systems and procedures. Performs specific project assignments related to financial analysis. Analyze reports and be able to offer insightful recommendations on any actions to be taken. Participates in month-end and year-end closing and ensures balancing of all related accounts and budget review. Prepares and recommends improvements in systems, procedures and operating policies pertaining to reporting and budgeting. Set procedures for subordinates to ensure integral audit integrity is met, as well as security and confidentiality. Prepares month-end, quarter-end, mid-year and year-end financial reports for both internal and external use. Develop short term and long term strategies for standardizing planning tools and processes across the company
