THE ASSESSMENT MUST BE TAKEN WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF APPLYING IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED. Job Summary: Bi-Lingual Customer Service Representation. Maintains correct insurance information on patient accounts. Research accounts, answer phone calls from patients in a prompt and courteous manner. Answers patients billing questions, as needed. Assists patients with questions on insurance denial claims. Follows up with insurance complaints on denial claims or claims in question. File secondary insurance claims. Knowledge of business office procedures; of medical terminology; grammar, spelling and punctuation. Skill in operating a computer, calculator and photocopy machine. Ability to read understands and follows oral and written instruction. Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding. Job Responsibilities: • Processes’ billing calls and questions and answers correspondence related to patient accounts. • Follow up on unpaid claims and re-submit when necessary. • Answers patients inquires in prompt and courteous manner to resolve problems and supply accurate information. • Initiates requests for patient payments by letter or telephone. • Posts all actions related to patients accounts into computer system as permanent record. • Request patient refunds and adjustments in a timely manner. • Make recommendations concerning write off or turn to collections. • Keep up to date on CPT4 & ICD9 coding requirements. • Maintain patient and employee privacy and confidentiality. • Contact insurance company to get claim status. • Research patient accounts and take proper action. • Receive payments in prompt and courteous manner. • Use proper phone etiquette. • Performs other duties, as required.
