Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst - Rancho Dominguez, CA The position is part of the Corporate finance team and reports to the Accounting Manager .This position will assist the Manager in all components of the corporate financials including revenue, profitability, operating expenses, headcount, working capital and capital spending. Provide support for operational planning, financial forecasting, and development of strategic and operational plans, business support, credit and accounts receivable, compensation and leasing reporting. Work with regional finance leaders to provide analysis and support for monthly and quarterly closing analytics. Essential Duties & Responsibilites Provide ad hoc financial analysis for Senior Management & Operations. Coordinate/Assist annual budget process & quarterly reforecast Preparation of Daily Volume and Gross Margin forecasts Preparation of Weekly AR Aging/DSO report Preparation of Weekly Management Report Preparation of Bank Report and Presentations Preparation of Payroll Metrics Close responsibilities including draft of Executives Report monthly Prepare meeting materials for board of directors including designing graphs, charts, tables, summarizing operational and financial results Preparation of quarterly 13-week cash forecast Prepare business cases or decision support for project investment, including ROI calculations, break-even analysis, Net Present Value and sensitivity analysis. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office products with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint Past experience with E&P company analysis and financial reporting, as well as acquisition evaluation Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills Able to work independently with a high degree of initiative Ability and demonstrated success in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences in both written and oral form Able to plan, schedule and track activities required for successful completion of ongoing and special project activities Strong team player who is able to build key relationships with team members across multiple functions throughout the organization Willingness and demonstrated skills at contributing ideas and taking action, which reinforces company success Ability to set priorities and meet specific deadlines in a changing environment, ability to be flexible, accommodating and to deal with change effectively. Education & Experience Qualifications s Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience. 3-5 accounting or finance experience Knowledge of MAS is preferred. Experience with GAAP. Experience in general ledger closing process, budget preparation, and consolidations.
