Details: As Project Manager you would oversee execution of all phases of software implementation projects. You would also be responsible for client relations, project planning, implementation, quality, schedule, budget, and receivables. Responsibilities Prepare work plan including project plan, communications plan, scope of work, work breakdown structure, hardware and software recommendations, deliverables schedule, quality assurance test plan, and other similar critical documents. Responsible for determining and meeting budget. Ensure costs-to-completes are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner. Follow up on receivables. Hold project kick-off meetings for both clients and sales to operations transition. Ensure that client fully understands the respective roles/responsibilities of client staff, Tyler staff, and third party vendors. Ensure ongoing clear and effective communications. Document client’s business processes and contractual changes (e.g. scope of project and project deadlines) Monitor project progress. Ensure that project schedules follow published release schedule. Control scope of project to conform to contract specifications. Share responsibility for minimizing customization of code at client site with module managers. Identify resources needed per work breakdown structure, e.g. business analysts and software developers. Work with Development Manager for appropriate employee assignment to project. Provide some work instruction and feedback to employees assigned to the project. Provide appropriate documentation/deliverables, e.g. progress reports. Maintain client acceptance documents, project plans and other project documents. Anticipate, identify, and resolve roadblocks, such as hardware, software, or networking incompatibilities and unresponsive project participants. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Sciences, Management Information Science, or Business. Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience required in one or more of the following: Technical project management o Technical business analysis including data conversion County/municipal government property valuation/assessment in public or private sector County/municipal government property tax billing and collection in public or private sector Valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the employee lives. PMP certification strongly desired Exceptional interpersonal and negotiating skills Excellent decision making and problem solving skills Exceptional organizational skills Strong analytical ability, particularly in a technical environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong knowledge of database structures Strong knowledge of budgeting and cost control Facility with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project or equivalent software Must be able to provide reliable transportation and carry full insurance on vehicle Posted Date May 8, 2015 To Apply Apply Online »
